Inside Running formed by Mike Rogers and Kent Hale. |
On the 24th of April 2003 Inside Running PPM Ltd was incorporated by Mike Rogers and Kent Hale. The company was set up to primarily assist NZ rugby players wanting to play rugby overseas. We formed the company with the goal to eliminate the issues of unprofessionalism plaguing the industry. |

In September 2003 we purchased online rugby agent
www.rugbyrecruit.com and set out to use this as a tool to recruit players
for Inside Running. |

In our first year of operation we sent 15 players from NZ up to Europe
to play rugby on amateur and semi professional arrangements. |

2004 |
Australian office
established. |
In October 2004 Inside Running set up an Australian office. Keith
Holmes joined the Inside Running team with the primary focus being the
recruitment of Australian players to meet the increasing demand from
clubs in the UK/Ireland. |

60 placements

12 month period. |
In our second year of operation we placed 60 players overseas with
approximately 10 players on professional contracts. These players were
not only from NZ but Australia as well. This was the first year in which
Inside Running also started to transfer players across unions in NZ and
we also began offering a management service to the players that were
on professional contracts. |

Merged with BSM. Split company into two divisions; Inside Running Elite Management, and Inside Running Recruitment. |
In August 2005, Inside Running merged with another sports management agency, Burlen Sports Management (BSM). BSM brought with them the valuable experience of having managed many professional athletes in NZ as well as a current stable of talented up and coming rugby players. The merger has meant that Inside Running had grown significantly overnight. This was the catalyst for a major rebranding exercise within the business with the formation of Inside Running Recruitment and Inside Running Elite Management. |

In November 2005 we re-launched the www.rugbyrecruit.com website. The website was totally revamped in order to provide an automated service to lower level clubs and players. |

120 placements completed in previous 12 month period. |
In our third year of operation we placed 120 players with overseas clubs. This was a period of very high growth for the business. |

2006 |
Elite Management client; Isaac Boss debut for Ireland. |
In May 2006 Elite Management client; Isaac Boss made his full international debut for Ireland. Isaac was a former Waikato and Chiefs player in New Zealand before taking up a professional career in Ireland. |

Signed agreement with Turri Management to represent our professional players based in Italy. |
In June 2006, we signed an agreement with leading Italian agency; Turri Management to represent all our professional players based in Italy. Turri Management provide a quality hands-on service to our clients in Italy. |

Inaugural Air NZ Cup commenced in NZ. 60 Elite Management clients across 14 team competition. |
In July 2006 the inaugural Air NZ Cup commenced in New Zealand. The competition featured 60 Elite Management clients across the 14 team competition. |
September 2006 |
Affiliation with Ella Management & Events signed. |
In September 2006 we signed an exclusive affiliation agreement with Ella Management and Events (‘EME’) in Australia. The agreement relates to Inside Running facilitating overseas placements for all EME clients, as well as Inside Running being able to leverage off EME’s experience in the sports marketing and events sectors. |

UK office established. |
In November 2006 Inside Running Recruitment established an office in the UK. Nigel Baker joined the Inside Running team with his focus being to provide a improved foreign player recruitment service to our clients in the UK, and also a move into the domestic player market in the UK. |

In our forth year of operation we placed 180 players with overseas clubs. |

Elite Management signed first All Black. |

15 clients named in Super 14 squads. |
15 Elite Management clients are named in Super 14 squads. |

246 successful player transfers this year. |
In our fifth year of operation Inside Running completed 246 successful player transfers. |

Inside Running expands into Japan. |
Elite Management successfully negotiated professional contracts in Japan for four of its clients. |
Our main goal still remains to provide a professional service to a range of athletes and clubs no matter what the level. We strive to be the market leaders and the only way in which to achieve this is by being the best!
